Art School Open Day

We need your help

Ipswich Art School has an enviable reputation, with lecturers including Colin Moss, Lawrence Self, Stephen Willats, Roy Ascott and Bernard Reynolds, as well as a former student list including Maggi Hambling, Brian Eno, Matthew Darbyshire and Gillian Carnegie.

We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to create a new centre of excellence and gallery space for modern and contemporary art in the old Ipswich Art School but we need help in raising the profile and funds required to buy and restore this unique building before it is lost as a public space forever.

As part of this campaign we are working with University Campus Suffolk to put a call out to past students and tutors of the Ipswich Art School to reference the history of the building, contribute to future programming ideas and support a buoyant social network.

Keep in touch!

As well as identifying an artistic community we also want to hear from those who are no longer involved in the arts.

We have put together an online questionnaire which we would like you to complete: please click here

Ipswich Art School Alumni online questionnaire. This will help us:

Record your anecdotes and memories and discover what you are up to now (practicing as an artist or not); Keep you up-to-date with developments through this exciting new phase; Inform you of events and exhibition programmes. There is no subscription deadline.
