Create your own crown for Jubilee day!
Jubilee Day
Christchurch Mansion
Sunday 3rd June
Join in the celebrations for Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee and make your own crown at Christchurch Mansion on Sunday 3 June!
Drop-in anytime between 10am-1pm and 2pm and 4pm and create your crown shape, then use sequins and coloured paper and turn yourself into royalty!
The Mansion has been visited by Prince Albert and maybe even Elizabeth 1. So you can walk in the steps of royalty as you explore the treasures in the Mansion and discover the rooms added for Elizabeth I visit!
Then with your own crown firmly on your head, why not head outside and enjoy the Ipswich Borough Council ‘Big Lunch’ event on the front lawn where celebrations will continue with a family picnic (bring your own food) and entertainment on the Mansion Lawn in Christchurch Park. Expect flag waving like the town hasn't seen since Queen Victoria's own Diamond Jubilee 116 years ago!
There is no need to book for the crown making event, just drop into the Mansion between 10am-1pm and 2pm and 4pm for the small cost of £1 a crown.
