Snakes and Co
Natural History Museum
Friday 8th June
Come along to the Natural History Museum on Friday 8 June and meet a whole host of animals including snakes and many of their reptilian, arachnid and amphibian friends.
You can get-up close to and meet some wonderfully large snakes such as a boa constrictor, royal python or a humungous 17ft Burmese python! There will also be a range of smaller corn and milk snakes, bearded dragons, blue tongued skinks, tortoises and a tarantula!
A spokesperson for Colchester and Ipswich Museums said, “These ‘Go live’ events are extremely popular to visitors, as they offer a chance to meet and touch some animals you would usually only see in a zoo behind a cage. We are delighted to be able to offer the chance to see these snakes, lizards and arachnids.”
There is no need to pre-book for this event; you can just drop-in between 12pm-4pm (charging starts at 11.30am). It costs just £1.50 per person and 2yrs and under are free of charge. We expect the event to be busy, so please expect to queue.
Please note animals may be subject to change at short notice in the vent of illness or welfare.
