Meals

We have a drinks vending machine and an area where you can eat your packed lunch. We ask that school groups book in advance for our lunchroom.

Castle Park next to the Castle offers an ideal picnic spot in good weather. Your ticket allows you re-entry, so you can enjoy a leisurely lunch and finish off your day back at the Castle.

Parking

You can park in any of the town centre car parks. The museum is just off the High Street. Click here for information www.colchester.gov.uk/parking There is a coach drop off point at Cowdray Crescent, at the entrance of Castle Park.  Coaches can park at the Bus Station whose entrance is on Queen Streetl.

Toilets

There are toilets in the museum, including baby changing facilities and an accessible toilet. There is more information about accessible facilities on our accessibility page.
